Both hardwoods and some softwoods are suitable for gates, and Iroko & oak are our preferred materials.
Various finishes are available but our recommendation would be an oiled finish for durability and aesthetic appearance.
Colour varies from light yellow to golden brown and texture is coarse, often with an interlocked grain. This is a hardwearing timber which is resistant to decay, and has many of the desirable features of Teak.
